solar sun melter?

emaze

I am trying to remember this architect who used this groovy curving mirror above an entry that focused the sun to melt the snow at the door. There was a book on the work, from the '70's or 80's. Does anyone else know who this might be? Thanks!

I'm curious to know why you posted in a 14 year old thread.

Not sure who bumped it initially? But I saw it on the front page.

Ok that's kind of cool, but now I'm thinking let's make it a death ray

That IS a death ray when the melt water from that snow freezes into an icy slippery path.

Obviously this won't happen as long as the architect designs a way for the sun to not set on the project.

So after the snow melts it sets the building on fire and when people run out they are blinded.

Sounds like a Bond villain's hide out.
