heading to the island of oahu, hawaii. Does anyone know of any architecture worth seeing on the island? Not sure I will even care while lounging on the beach, but just in case.
All I know of is the Pearl Harbor Memorial.
National Memorial Cemetary of the Pacific (profiled in this month's Architect magazine..) and of course Pearl Harbor Memorial is an unquestionable must. both will take your breath away

byodo temple in temple valley on the east side is nice.
if it's open, the stairway to heaven up the east slope of the koolau mtns is a worthwhile and precipitious hike.
