I have been place in waiting list position from Sci-Arc and have not hear from them since almost a month ago and when I call them they did not gave me any exact answer no, or yes or how long should i have to wait for their final answer. Any body has similar experience before or idea about it?
since no one has responded, i'll jump in, though i haven't dealt with sci-arc before. This seems horribly rude, there is an unspoken pact across US schools that admissions decisions are made by the end of April, the fact that it's almost July and they haven't responded is extremely inconsiderate, I'm sure you would simply like to know if you need to move or not!
Yes I did called them they did not answer any of my question completely. They said the program is full and there is no ranking in waiting list. As position become available they will review the portfolios again and pick howmany they need. Basically I have to wait and hope somebody ancel his or her admission I guess
I would rather you work for "free" intern at Neil Denari or Eric Owen Moss's office, if you are under 21yrs.
Most offices still need their printing ink changed, and lunch brought to them, consider it learning about Architecture!
Frank lloyd Wright had his "free" interns building brick fences, cooking his supper, and milking cows, all while they paid HIM for the honor of being near him.
hey there, i'm attending sci-arc for fall and i'm so sorry to hear that no one has responded. my experience with the staff there has been really great - as in they reply promptly and everything and usually go out of their way to assist. i have to agree that they take a little longer to reply in the summer months so i'm assuming that they're on vacation? but i really hope it works out for you.
They do answer my phone and email ,but not clear answer like when would I know the final news if I am 100 percent in or not because the other schools also need my answer and I would rather wait if they tell that I am 100 % in .
Whoa! And here I thought I was the only one!! I'm also on the wait list for SCI-Arc Undergraduate admission and they've been doing the same thing to me!!
awh so sorry to hear that. :( you did mention that they said the program was full though right? i didn't even know that they were still taking in students - i've gotten all the usual uni notifications and stuff already.
I just got my internship for summer and I hope I can stay in their office for a year in Seattle, even though Sic-Arc waiting list me, made me to cancel the other school's admission. The problem is that even though they say the program is full, they won’t disappoint you 100%, they give you some hope, maybe one of the new students, cancel his or her admission
Have you attended (Making+ Meaning program) at Sic-Arc this summer?
Some past student say that is helping to get to know the instructors and easier to admit if you really good .
Acceptance, denial, and waiting lists are called "Decision Notice". You have been given a decision by the school. You can't asked them to give you another decision for your application. Waiting List is just another decision. Only if the circumstances are met, your application will be considered again. Until then, it is an unwritten law for those who were denied for admission or placed on a waiting list to not communicate with the institution about your application again until the next application phase.

You have to be patient and wait.
