I'm looking for software that will facilitate online collaboration, file exchange as well as tracking. For example, if we have a list of ten items we need our architect to address, we need an easy and reliable way to post the items and the responses to each. Many programs offer document posting, but the more thorough "to do" lists are left out.
Any advice or experiences in this area are greatly appreciated.

I've found it better not to limit the type of software, despite its benefits (log frames, records, etc) instead be flexible...saves down time.
