In his defense, nothing beats a personal recommendation of something, and google won't give you that. Seems like a perfect use of a website full of architects! :)
I'm not answering here because I only have a vague notion of what "channel glass" is. Do you mean that stuff Steven Holl used at the Cranbrook science Center, basically 3/8" thick glass formed into channel extrusion shapes?

however, currently 4 of SPYDER01's 8 entries are on the first page of discussions trolling for information on what appears to be a single project... if you can't find at least some semblance of information on materials, LEED, and structural engineers by yourself, then perhaps you shouldn't be doing the project???
i just think that one of archinect's unspoken rules is to not bombard the discussions page with a bunch of questions, especially as a newbie...
plus, everyone knows that pilkington profilit is THE channel glass...

yes it is the stuff holl uses.. used it at pratt also... i ask questions here, bc the knowledge base of fellow archinectors is pricelss....

i requested samples from pilkington before i left my firm... never got to see them though. but they're reputable.

the d+s glass is a bendheim system same stuff a lil cheaper from what i understand.. .
i would just really like to know if there is something similar to that stuff just not as expensive...
