Plant a seed.
water.
water some more.
wait for plant to grow.

wait another 6 months (is this slow enough for you?)

harvest.

dice some garlic (repeat steps 1-6 if needed) add to pot
dice what ever else was harvested and add to pot.
add beer or wine (repeat steps 1-6 and then go to appendice on fermentation)

turn on crock pot,
wait 8 hours

yumn!

fermentation appendice
steps 1-6,
harvest, mash, squeeze, bottle, add yeast, ferment, wait 6 months to 20 years for wine, 6 weeks to 1 year for beer...

I have that cookbook, mom's speghetti and meatballs on page 162 kicks ass! I made it for a dinner party once and it was well received.

my own recipe: hot roast beef sandwiches au jus
put beef roast in pot (i think I use rump roast)
sprinkle a packet of french onion soup over top
pour about 1 cup of water over top. put lid on.
crock it on high for first hour, then 6-8 hours on low.
thin slice roast and pile on kasier buns, use sauce for dipping, au jus style

huhmm.. i bet a crock pot could be used in studio. just throw together some meat and veggies. fire up the rice cooker, and by the time you've used up 10 blades cutting foam core you have a meal.

mjh00c, I did that very recipe many many times a few years back. My roommate and I would set it on low, go to school, and return to a tasty dinner. One evening we came home to no inviting smells. No smells at all. We never turned it one. We had dinner at 11:00 PM that night.

I am with stephanie these days. What veg recipes are out there? My old vegan roommate (different fellow) made some kind of curry in the Crock Pot. Tasty, and spicy. I'll ask him for ideas.

i am not a crockpot fan at all! maybe as a side dish.. but never as a meal.. it is just strage for me to experience anything on my pallet that tastes like everything.. FOR THE WHOLE MEAL.. it bores me.

Oddly enough last weekend I used the crockpot to make sunday dinner - for one :(

Turkey Chilli

half onion
3 cloves of garlic
2 tblsp Worchester sauce
1/2 tspn black pepper
1 lb Turkey mince
1 can red beans
1 can tomatoes (diced)
Chilli powder

2 hours of just the mince, onion, garlic in the pot
add powder - leave for another 30 mins
add remaining ingredients let cook for another 1:30hrs

eat!!

A lot like my Dad's turkey chili (no red meat in my house growing up).

He added green peppers. Never tried Worchester.

-take 6- 1" cut pork chops and make a pocket slit in each of them (or better yet have your butcher do it)
-stuff each with 1/4 - 1/2 cup of your favorite stuffing
-brown each in a skillet
-place in crock pot cover with 1 can cream of celery and 1 cup of water
-cook on low for 5-6 hours
enjoy the tasty goodness
