Architecture/construction terms that sound dirty

Medusa

Everytime I have to write "double header" on a framing plan, I have to stop myself from laughing, because I once saw a sex toy also called this. (It was a two-ended dildo.)

::chuckles::

one of my favorites has always been "glued and screwed"

once while walking through a building with an elderly female client i stopped to talk to a carpenter installing subfloor and said to him. make sure that gets glued and screwed. her face turned red, it was tough not to laugh.

caulk, has always been another favorite.

about 2 yrs ago, we got a brochure from a caulking company, in big bold letters it said "We specialize in caulk"

we laughed about that one for hours and then started a competition in the office on who could come up with the dirtiest slogan for a caulking company.

i think the winner was: "our caulk can fill any crack"

Keep stuffing it with caulk till it starts oozing out the crack then finish off by screwing the two till they come together nice and wipe off the excess when you're done...

Keef, so you were pulling our leg with bagina? I actually googled it... couldn't figure out for the life of me what it could be..

Derby, don't for get to add a 'stop-cock' to that line.

My construction practice lecturer, who had the worst monotone voice ever, pulled out this one just as I was slipping into a coma:

"...the speed or erection depends on the quality of the stripping."

I almost died. He even followed it up with:

"...moisture content is critical when laying."

I started to pay more attention after that. Bless.

Be sure you shove the tongue into the grove snug and tight before screwing or you could have problems with uneven laying...
