I was wondering if anyone had any great links or book suggestions as an introduction, or know of some great people or firms(other than IDEO) to check out.
Check out Product Design and Development by K.T. Ulrich and S.D. Eppinger. I think they are professors and mechanical engineering practitioners at MIT. It has a business admin side to it so it is a worth a look. Skip IDEO stuff.
The Phaidon design books are marvellous. But the rack is just horrible.
