HATE CAD

I hate  computer drafting systems-something is always going wrong -and there's all the damn crap you have to learn -and it's all locked up in damn "black box" called a computer. Think of the wonderful days of Frank Lloyd Wright. It took a liilte longer to do drawings and it wasn't so stupidly precise, but he did over 550 completed jobs (and more preliminaries) "quite fast enough, thank you" . It was FAR more human: all you had to do is know how to "operate" a pencil and an eraser. All the drawings were right there, easy to go from one to another and see stuff fast -you could see it all, handle it all, move your hands and ams to draw not just your damn finger on a mouse or keyboard  all the time-  you could lay the drawings all out, FULL size 24"x36" nothing to blow up on a damn black screen -and to print them you didn't have to go thru a damn computer (and every now and then the damn computer won't recognize the damn printer) - just run them thru a FOOLPROOF blueprint machine-if the paper jammed it wasn't a possible nightmare to de-jamb. It was all a HUMAN way to work-period.

TJon, simply stating "period" at the end of your naive post does not make it intelligent. You're free to draft by hand all you want, just don't start complaining when even the most mediocre graduate run laps around your old corpse.
