Is there any padding on the inside? Otherwise your hand is gonna take the exact same damage that whoever you punch is taking. And it might hurt you more than it hurts the attacker.

My hunch is that Uma Thurman's character in Kill Bill was at least slightly based on DL Chastain from Pyncon's "Vineland" - this looks like a ring she might wear. In feeding my secret desire to be DL Chastain, I may have to go get this ring. Very nice.
