In the recent Arch Record there was a flier for the CSI Event in Las Vegas in March. Besides wanting to party my a** off in Vegas, I was interested in the vast amount of continuing education units offered, and the topics that they'll be discussing.
CSI is putting the event on. Does anyone have any experience with them? Anyone CSI certified? what does this do for us as architects or design/build firms?
In my experience, many CSI members are miles more fun to hang out with than are many architects. Might as well have fun - CE class units count no matter how hung over you are while attending. ;-)
Edit: Oh golly, just noticed this original post was over FIVE YEARS ago. One wonders why architectspecifier would revive an ancient no-response thread to disparage CSI?!
Is anyone a CSI(Construction Specifications Institute) member or certified?

CSI is now a waste of time.
OK, I'll bite. Why is CSI 'now' a waste of time?
