the cellardoor whore

a few days ago i was having sex and this guy puffing away on top.
it seemed like i could leave for a bit and get a flask from my kitchen and fill it up with pure masculinity, something i have always hated and reminds me of changing rooms and sweat. it was this masculinity that made all this possible, but i have unedning hatred for it. i can sense it even in text form. which drives me, since we're all posting irrelevant posts really, to join in and announce unabashed war against it, pot belly machismo is not fun or funny. watching football is not a cute boy trait, it is the first sign of fascism and stupidity. i have decided to go all adrogynous, true to me. i only will date twisted 'sexless' creatures now. any here?

I hate football. I hate watching sports, actually. It was not a choice. I just seem to be lacking that gene.

i stopped watching football (what you americans refer to as soccer) around 5 years of age...yet, i do not look like a twisted 'sexless' creature in any way, so the link there kinda fails.

there are nice guys out there who will not make you the subject of their machismo, and you don't have to look as far as underweight emo kids dressed in skinny fit t-shirts!

not that i have anything against them, i'd just rather not having them reproducing.

Oh yeah, you must be thinking of the wimpster. They are supposedly just as macho.

sounds like lately you have been keenly aware of life during your sexual sessions. Keep on talking I like what you are saying.

A little masculinity has never killed anyone, i think I was reading in the NYT, or village voice or something that women are going crazy over the "ubersexual" extremely masculine men. After the fad of the "Metro-sexual" the androgenous beings.
I am married to a self-described feminist artist, I consider myself a masculinist architect.... Somehow we make it work.
Anyway, I sometimes am not happy with the senseless attck on masculinity, do we deserve it, up to a point, I guess... But I think by now we should be beyond the battle of the sexes.

And remember "Sometimes football, is just football".

I like Koolhaas' quote, something like: around the corner from every great architect there is barbwire waiting.

ya, I can get with that (diabase). Perhaps a fight against socio-cultural masculinity would be more appropriate. As for my maleness...let me keep it. Please.

I hate to do this, but what defines maleness? I hope it isn't football (American or soccer or whatver). I hate when a girl says she "is just one of the guys" when refering to watching sports with the "guys". So when I don't watch football, am I one of the girls? BTW, I also value my maleness...

according to my guy friends.. which outnumber my female friends in at least a 4:1 ratio.... i'm a guy's girl and a girly girl.

i'm cutesy and twirl around in formal dresses but drink pints, horsearound and make jokes like the rest of them.

i personally avoid dating overly masculine men... they also avoid me since i'm a strong female personality. i've found this weird middle between macho and metro that works really well. the funny thing is... when it's just me and them they turn all cutesy on me.

oh, and nothing makes you feel more empowered than when you're on top and in control ;)

Sorry to be a party pooper BUT MALENESS IS NOT A WORD!!!
Masculine and Masculinity, please let us grunt in proper english.

pinstripeprincess woman on top works for me too. I have found that when a woman feels empowered the sex is better.

-Football when bored

sorry +q,

according to at thisinstitute of higher education, as well as [en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maleness]wikipedia[/url], maleness is, in fact, a word with an established definition.

that must have been your machismo talking :)

as for the second part of your post...no argument there.

Ok AP, Ive looked it up too, 'case it was driving me crazy, and I have seen it used but both wikipedia and webster's recognize it as male, or sex.
I stand by my statement: it is not standard english.

Plus it doesnt sounds masculine enough.

Although I do enjoy her posts they usually are a bit spicier then anyone else's in Archinect.
You are wrong on this one cellardoor, from your posts I will deduce you need a comfortable-in-his-skin macho man.

You know a thread is going to be good when it starts off, "a few days ago I was having sex..."

Anyway....I like masculine men. I also like metro men. I like men in general. Which is the main reason I like watching football. That doesn't make me masculine does it? Because I'm a girl and I have enough trouble finding men that aren't intimidated by me as it is....

i love football, i love baseball... i love all sports
but i am not one who would be considered macho at all

however, growing up in kansas i am well aware that a (midwestern) def. of a man is exactly what J said above

machismo and the essence of being male are linked directly to the size of your ego

What makes "maleness"? I guess j's list is pretty good.

But I'm interested in what makes a real man, which to me would encompass:

-honest
-ethical
-takes responsibility for his actions
-isn't afraid of hard work
-loves, and consents to be loved

Men who have these traits are constantly overlooked as culture either celebrates or bashes "maleness". I think we need to start paying attention to the good men out there. They rock.

I don't know what the parallel traits of real women are.

this does not work: 'i am not androgynous, but that doesnt mean maculinity is of the duh! variety'. when it comes into its own... but yes, fucking was like a whole universe in me (diss the way we turn fucking..not love making pleeeeaaaase...into a reverse sacrosanct thing) not a toilet joke. this manly urge to fuck, razorsharp, targetting, when u completely start to be in control when he thinks he's in control. and inside your organs you're just making labyrinthine fun of him, not even wittingly. and u know u can leave whenever . like the way it fucks, its all about obviousness. and u anything but. sometimes, when it passes by on the street stranger-wise i want to strike it douse it with lifelong acid or somethin.

but when u meet someone else, and the personality is furnished so differently, there is not a trace of awareness of being a man no neanderthal masculinity lurking inside. there are no mythical frontiers between man and woman. i will underline this, i do not mean by this that he is just not sexist scum of the earth. no..thats not the issue...u can circle the 'm' on his forms, but his gender is more like sameness than difference.

and sure thing its not about emo and not about being str8, bi or gay.

"Mr. Muscle forcing bursting
Stingy thingy into little me, me, me
But just "ripple" said the cripple
As my jaw dropped to the ground
Smile smile

It's true I always wanted love to be
Hurtful
And it's true I always wanted love to be
Filled with pain
And bruises

Yes, so Cripple-Pig was happy
Screamed " I just compeletely love you!
And there's no rhyme or reason
I'm changing like the seasons
Watch! I'll even cut off my finger
It will grow back like a Starfish!
It will grow back like a Starfish!
It will grow back like a Starfish!"

Mr. Muscle, gazing boredly
And he checking time did punch me
And I sighed and bleeded like a windfall
Happy bleedy, happy bruisy

I am very happy
So please hit me
I am very happy
So please hurt me

I am very happy
So please hit me
I am very very happy
So come on hurt me

I'll grow back like a Starfish
I'll grow back like a Starfish
I'll grow back like a Starfish
I'll grow back like a Starfish

I'll grow back like a Starfish
I'll grow back like a Starfish
I'll grow back like a Starfish
I'll grow back like a Starfish
Like a Starfish..."

no its antony
i do not know about aesthetics but here goes pj pre-echoing antony

"fruit flower myself inside out i'm happy and bleeding for you fruit flower myself inside out i'm tired and i'm bleeding for you"

the missing element is the ugly duckling to swan (cripple pig to starfish - but somehow you sense it'll never happen) and one stands on the masochistic side of masochism and the other on the sadistic side of masochism.

one was pj harvey's and the other antony's from antony and the johnsons
and both songs share this happy and bleeding for you aspect.

i wasn't confused. maybe its confused for norm ( a very suitable name) not for me. and by the way a penis can be the most feminine cutsey thing ever...so its not even there.
