Photograph rights

sloring

I have some experience over the years with architectural photography and my boss rented our firm a full frame camera and tilt shift lens for me to take photographs of several of our recently completed buildings in lieu of hiring a professional photographer. I'm assuming that my firm owns the rights to these photos?

If you take the photos as part of your daily activities as an employee, yes.  If they hire you under separate contract to take the photos, the rights are negotiable.

PS tilt shift is played out, IMO.  Though I expect most here do not agree with me.

Ok that's what I thought, just wanted to be sure. And I wasn't doing any tilting, just modest shifting so that our buildings don't look like they are falling over.
