I've just discovered BOC recently, but the more I listen the more frippertronics and soundscapes come to my mind.. specially those that Fripp did after his mother's death... love the copy&paste and the "Bob Marley's group" response though.. that's funny, is that a british tv quiz show?
ya, DP rocks. it took my friends and I two attempts to find the Designer's Republic store in Jingumae (Shibuya?) Tokyo
...ridiculous...the first night we found the address, but it was an entry to someone's home. We went back a couple of days later and found the shop, behind the house with said address, entered off of an alley. It was worth it, for the free stickers and flyers alone. The neighborhood is really cool as well...I hadn't even noticed that they did the site until you mentioned it, lateral.
It's nice enough altho I hoped that they had evolved a little more since
Geogaddi and it's certainly not as good as A Beutiful Place out in the
Country EP (which I rate highest of the BOC releases to date).
Where was it? Last time I saw her I was a bit disappointed by her performance. But I enjoy her cd's, and some of the tracks from the last album are very welcome whenever it's party time...
boards of canada - the campfire headphase
have any BOC fans heard the upcoming album yet? thoughts?
<--this link has all the tracks...
that's what i was looking for. thanks AP.
I have not. I definitely plan on checking it out.
Ooh!
no problem, enjoy...it's the only thing I've played today that hasn't made my boss come out of his office and ask me to turn it down...
oh, c'mon.
there's really only one b.o.c. that matters, guys.
and it has cowbell.

the 'bleep' site's preview interface is pretty cool.
saw them live once at a Warp Lights out party in the UK few years back, pretty fucking amazing...
i've been hanging out for the new album. music has the right to children was on repeat play for a long time.
thanks! sweet.
the bleep interface is beautiful like everything that designer's republic does.
boards of canada are also the cover boys for this month's issue of The Wire

It's not that great. I'm more keen the the new Jimmy Edgar.
BTW - if anyone wants it, send me a PM
BOC & campfire headphase: "i'm burnin', i'm burnin', i'm burnin' for you...."

Seriously tho' who is feeling the new Ellen Allien?
Ellen Allien kicks ass
She put on a GREAT show last week!

the blue oyster cult tune "the red and the black" is about the royal canadian mounted police. the novel "the red and the black" is not.
