how about drawings of making love?
miniature paintings, say. or a calder-esque sculpture i saw recently of a very graphic painted tin couple, that can be rearranged depending on your particular fetish, i suppose. and the two 'people' fit together, literally.
at the moment, i'd say my fetish is sweet nothings. or rather, sweet somethings.
I collect jade inkwells and brushpots from China and Japan. There's nothing like using old tools, you become imbued with the artistic powers of the previous owners, I swear.
I don't know, I feel like I'm at one with the cosmos when I understand the earth better.
Also, I'm a big fan of volcano-earthquake-tornado type occurances. Something about "nature's wrath"....again with the earth thing. I wouldn't say that this has been an especially enjoyable hurricane season though....as Rob Corddry said last night on the Daily Show, "this year, God's just sort of being a dick".
WonderK, Mount Ruapehu erupted [a bit] about 8 years ago, and I was in my car to travel the 4-5 hours to go and see it. I weas stopped by overly concerned {in my opinion] family members.
diabase, did you pay attention when Mt. St. Helens was rumbling earlier this year? That's the best kind of volcano.....a really big one with no one in harms way.....
well, shrugging the possibility of an inside joke that has nothing to do with haiku for a moment-
does manteno know one hundred poems from the japanese?
it's really good....
back when Mtv was cool..... me and my friends used to listen to the radio and watch mtv and try to sink up the songs with the videos....haha.....makes up for good times
what is your fetish?
neverland ranch?
exploded fish eye perspective sections.
intricate detail and complexity almost to the point of overkill in small objects.
hybrid drawings (mentioned above already)
women
dilapidated buildings (i pass one and i start imagining what could be done to it)
undilapidated buildings (i pass one and i start imagining how much better it wd look if it were dilapidated)
dipping my fingers into sand
"making love" to drawings
big ol' cantilevers...I WILL build one...someday
standing at the edge of a huge cantilevered room, with only glass separating you from the sky
