i love that that tony leung's nice guy act from "in the mood for love" has faded to a crusty shade of rust as he assumes thr role of womanizer. he also has a killer mustache. so does john waters. both qualify as gentlemen.
2046 is a good movie, but not my favorite among other wong kar wai films.
It is shot beautifully...I especially enjoy the futuristic part. 2046 is definitely more complex than in the mood for love but the later has such crystal clear and simplistic style that is very refreshing for a Wong Kar Wai film.
have you guys heard that his movie are a lot like jazz.
No script, everyday the actors show up, and stuff happens. Improv, changes, etc...
there is an idea, but that changes, oftne and a lot.
I like his process, as much as his product.

off the topic... anyone see tony takitani?
it's a stupid story. WKW was repeating all the elements in his former movies but he failed to tell a good story this time.
Tony Takitani was a lonely man.
i'm looking forward to tony takitani.

Anyone seen Fallen Angels and Chungking Express?
lonunu: of course i've seen those two. chungking express was the film that brought me to wkw and hk cinema in general. i still love watching that one.
I like Wong Kar-Wai's films a great deal.
