i like Say it Ain't So from the blue album...the whole thing is pretty darn solid.
what i really want to know is, though, is when the next Stephen Malkmus album is coming out!? last i heard, he had the former drummer of Sleater-Kinney behind the kit...janet weiss? she bangs like john bonham on HGH...

i like sunset rubdown but prefer wolf parade by a significant amount. i really like sunset's instrumentation but the lack of direction in their his songwriting irritates me and sometimes flat out bores me. but it can grow on you...
like how dinner bells became one maybe my favorite song on apologies to the queen mary

I think the album with Dillinger Escape Plan was more of a collaboration. Mr. Bungle is (was) great - "Disco Volante" is one of my favourite albums. Some of the stuff from Fantomas is also very good, but I'm not too keen on his other sideprojects like Tomahawk or Peeping Tom.
hells yeah i love dropkick murphys and i too didn't discover them til i was out of high school. i'm gettin into british indie too. if you have a chance, check out the Kooks. www.myspace.com/thekooks
i'm hooked
maaaaann... there's just too much music out there and not enough time...
thought for food. next to be downloaded from my emusic. perfect! it's only 12 tracks and that's exactly how many downloads i have left for the month.
irish punk is something i'm kind of ignorant of. in fact i've just recently gotten into punk (the clash, pistols, jam, x).
lately i've been getting into more dub. lee scratch perry's divine madness definitely has been in constant rotation, as has the new album from ticklah, ticklah vs. axelrod.
oooh, and speaking of punk and dub, i've been getting into bad brains recently as well.
oh, and mexican institute of sound's piñata is really good too.
i wanna talk about music
i just wanted to let everyone know that earlier today (2 min ago) i re-established

Happy -- The Wrens -- Meadowlands
oh man, i love the blue weezer album.
from the beginning finger picking of "my name is jonas" all the way through the afore-mentioned song, it's a great album.
absotively posalutely
Im listening to Atom Heart Mother right now (Pink Floyd)

got the new Sunset Rubdown album on Friday...super good. They are plying Friday night at the El Ray this Friday!
cool. the new sunset rubdown album is on emusic.
anybody else on emusic? they have a pretty good selection and it's pretty cheap. 20 bucks for 75 dl's.
i've been wearing out the new radiohead album (bodysnatchers is so far my favorite song) and new cafe tacuba.

I think that's the best song on the album.

Anyone ever listen to Tom Waits? He is an amazing song writer, probably my favorite overall.
right on, jordan...he's quality.
he was great in 'coffee and cigarettes', too.
Jordan
do you listen to Lenord Cohen?
sing it to me, David
everybody knows,
that you've been discreet,
but there were just so many people
that you had to meet
without your clothes....
and everybody knows.
i also dug tom waits as renfield in the coppola remake of dracula
yes, mah-sterr
ha ha, that's right! it is him!
did you see coffee and cigarettes?
no but i heard that was good.. though i'm a bit afraid it will make me want to start smoking again.
yeah, it's different, but pretty good.
tom waits and iggy pop have a scene together.
anyone seen tom waits in down by law?...
Sure do mdler, Leonard Cohen is an awesome song writer too.
Dillinger Escape Plan ... you can listen to the entire new album here:
http://www.myspace.com/dillingerescapeplan
... if yer into that sorta thing.
Oh ya, Dillinger is nice. I think Mike Paton was in that band for a moment. Anybody like Mr. Bungle?

Yea Patton did one album with DEP, which is awesome. You can hear a huge FaithNoMore influence in this latest DEP album.
... and yea the latest Tomahawk is not my favorite.
Patton worked with Bojrk and Razzel on an ablum, Medula. Its pretty tight, if you like Bojrk.
i'm really digging this new yeasayer album, all hour cymbals. pretty cool. you can download a couple of the tracks for free here.
I'm falling in love with Irish-American punk rock bands. They're old as hell, but where have the Dropkick Murphys been all my life?
And is there any better music to get hammered to?
hells yeah i love dropkick murphys and i too didn't discover them til i was out of high school. i'm gettin into british indie too. if you have a chance, check out the Kooks. www.myspace.com/thekooks

I prefer The Books over The Kooks.
the Books = good stuff.
current personal favs.
monolake
loscil
dropkick murphys eh? im guessing you guys recently saw the departed?
i too very much enjoy the books though i only have 'the lemon of pink'
we just got our first real snow last night, so on my way home i listened to Beach House.
There couldn't be more perfect snow weather...
