Local provincial architect association job boards (OAA, AIBC, etc...) seem to frequently have marketing positions advertised. My guess is this is an effective strategy.

yes! you'd think so! alas, it's not yielding much.
Perhaps there just aren't that many design marketing experts in the Canadian tundra to be had, eh?
Can you afford to sponsor an American? Lots of great talent down there looking for a chance. If so, I recommend trying archinect.com.
