I have attended arch undergrad on the east coast and i'm moving back to Los Angeles permanently. Does anyone have any information on the following firms...are they any good? design? work environment? etc. any information would be helpful!
Anshen+Allen
Altoon + Porter
Pfeiffer Partners
AC Martin
have a good friend who used to work for them in la. apparently they do a lot of retail, like the new outdoor shopping malls that are supposed to look like a town so prevalent in phx and southern cali. nothing to write home about, design wise.
Altoon and Porter contracted quite a bit over the last couple of years - can't say that the culture is very good from my brief encounter with them (I worked next door to them) but they probably pay well.

Design-wise they are probably comparable to the others on your list.
i would agree that they are the same as the others on the list. But i thought they did more than retail and have projects in Europe and Asia.
