Definately my tennis equipment. Everything finely tuned to match my style of play.
Wonder if they remembered to send me my wildcard to Wimbledon this year. They always seem to forget...
Brain-Eyes-Hands, want to keep these in good working order.
But I guess your question refers to more material objects...
My beautifull old single track bicycle...gets me around cheaply
My digital camera...to capture things around me
My fountain pen... sketching as therapy
a set of old drafting tools from my father. they are made out of silver (99%) and ivory. I'm not an ivory-lover; it's just passed down stuff, you know.
i have so much stuff that i cart around with me when i move, never thinking i can get rid of any of it > and i can't think of any one or two things that stand out! i'd probably have to default to my library: about 45 boxes full and growing all the time.
Whatever sketchbook is in my hand at the time. My left hand always holds my palmpilot case with all of my ID, credit/debit cards, business cards, etc, and that sits on top of my sketchbook. The second I lose my balance or trip, my thumb pushes off the palmpilot case and grasps the sketchbook, rain or shine. Palm pilot is beat up but the case just can't resist the sidewalk.
i've never owned a pair of "slingbacks" so i guess the item i cherish the most is the only bike i've ever owned; a pink schwinn that i got for my 11th birthday.
i would be pretty useless with my expensive eyeglasses as well.
my powerbook
my 200 or so dvd collection
my 20 or so el croquis
and just a bunch of books
oh and all my golden acryclic paint and associated drawings/paintings
well hon, considering you've never owned a pair (which I still don't believe by the way) I'd give it a little while before riding bikes in them, but they sure are sexy!
i have two. rolex oyster perpetual that was my dad's his high school graduation present . 150 yr old navajo blanket my great grandfather brought back from arizona.
-my black eames DSX chair. Stolen from the art dept. durning my years as an undergrad. It began a fascination with design that ultimately led me to architecture.
-my crate of CLASSIC CHICAGO HOUSE tunes from the 80s! So awesome.
