Entering an architectural competition for the first time

mmmoakes

I am planning on entering an architectural competition and I want to know what can I expect from it? What is ISO A0 board and where can I purchase it from?

Expect nothing, then anything you get out of it counts as a sort of a win. Best do it to learn something (like software or local codes, anything you feel the need to figure out, really).

I fear that if you are asking questions like this, you are far off base.

As molotok notes, expect nothing, maybe you'll end up with a portfolio piece.

I see today that I didn't get into the finals for a competition I recently submitted to, but that's really ok.  Everything is subjective for one, and its all about the experience of doing projects anyways.  "Experience in itself is reward"..

Oh and don't expect anything from competitions, not even whether or not your submission arrived in time...
