Marvel Has a VFX Problem

Found it interesting that the VFX industry is speaking out against unrealistic deadlines, low wages, businesses competing with each other rather than cooperating ... and the divide between creative and production teams.

One issue cited was the demand for options similar to design options crafted by architects in response to client uncertainty. These take time and effort to make but are necessary due to the creative team's uncertainty over what they want to achieve.

It's OK though, they're an "industry" and we shouldn't be bothered by inhospitable work environments and shit wages.

Their industry structure is definitely more concentrated than the architecture sector within AEC, which remains highly splintered. There are a couple of very big players followed by a dozen or so medium sized companies.
