Hello I am doing research on how architects create their site plans in different countries but it's been difficult to get a specific answer regarding the US. For example in the UK, we are using OS plans in CAD format but which service is it used in the US and in what format please? Do you create your maps on demand using surveys or is there a similar service to the OS please?

We use a civil engineer who prepares site information using a survey from a surveying company. They send us a dwg.
We do the same.
Here in Alberta Canada, I engage the services of a mapping company and they provide me with cadastral 10TM cad files
