Over on the EntreArchitect forum on Facebook, somebody asked this question. A group of birds is a flock, gaggle or murder; there are herds of deer and schools of fish. What's a good name for a group of architects (or architects and designers ;-)?
Feel free to steal it and post on the Fb group. I peruse it on occasion but refrain from commenting… I don’t know how long I can keep the snark inside.
I usually consider a group of architects to be a 'cluster' for obvious reasons. But I suppose if I was trying to be more clever, I'd say a 'volume of architects' or a 'measure of architects'.
You stole my thunder, proto. I almost posted that earlier for academic architects, but couldn't come up with another for ordinary, working architects. Touche'
sarcasm and snark aside, I might agree with what others above have said but kind of like the saying "fumaroles of architects" or "fumaroles of archifarts".
One dictionary lists the definition of scrum, besides the Rugby association of people banging heads together, as "a disordered or confused situation involving a number of people".
What do you call a group of architects?

A group of architects is called a "Reveal Dichotomy"
A group of designers is called a "Pastiche"
Haha, perfect

Wasn't there a thread on this some time back? Or maybe a digression on TC? There were some funny entries.
Maybe, I don't recall. If you're on the EntreArchitect forum, as several here are, the thread was posted within the last week or so.
A "spandrel" - decorative but structurally extraneous...
an "institute"?
I propose: "A disagreement of architects"
A gaggle - no that's the sound we make.
A murder - no, that's what we do to each other
A parti - nope - we don't have fun at all
Annoying. That's what a group of architects is.
How about a Charette?
A Studio
A smattering
Or, in the spirit of a murder of crows, how about a slaughter of architects? But it's pronounced slaff'-ter.
a smug of architects

we should get together & form a group
Of which type? =O]
atelier!
a Telier of Architects.
A Teller of architects (Feat. Penn)
Snarky side might say a "Group or Pompous Asses", a "room of full of farts", and other not so pleasant words.
Maybe I might call it fumaroles.
sarcasm and snark aside, I might agree with what others above have said but kind of like the saying "fumaroles of architects" or "fumaroles of archifarts".
.
A column
A grundle of architects.
A draft of architects. Applicable with several definitions of the word "draft"
That can be a whiff
Another term would be a scrum of architects.
One dictionary lists the definition of scrum, besides the Rugby association of people banging heads together, as "a disordered or confused situation involving a number of people".
That would be perfect for a group of Software Architects:
Ref.: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrum_(software_development)
Granted, it might be suitable also for other architects (looks at you and Frank)
How about a frank of architects?
You could have a pride of architects but maybe that term should be left for a group of starchitects.
A mileu of architects. A cloak of Zahas.
