Same here , I haven’t heard yet from CDP. Also, I applied to the Bartlett Architecture School UCL , (MSc Architectural Computation program) and I received offer on February

Planning to go with Bartlett? Because from my experience if everyone is recieving acceptance mail right now from gsapp then they must have sent out CDP acceptance too.

Feels like GSAPP is holding out on the waitlisted/ rejection letters in the event those offered placements turn them down

If you don't hear from them in this 2 week. Then it's a red flag. I applied to MSAAD last year they send rejection mails in april end.
So the bet is you should hear from them right now.

I’m not expecting anything though, MIT has been releasing decisions for other grad programs for weeks. I don’t know why the S+P would be share this similarity with the college admissions process.

Right, only SMArchS is sitting silent since so long :/ Now should we expect anything at 3:14 or 6:28. This is such a gimmick :(

@sanahmengi Yea I think the entire School has been doing admissions weirdly this year. I wouldn’t expect anything today.

I agree. I feel its the same for Columbia and Cornell too. They send a few admits, then waitlist then sent admits, then send no rejections. Its just all over the place. GSD and uPenn were better. One day, all results out

My friend is also waitlisted for SMArchS AD. Seem like the acceptance deadline for the offer holders is early April. So if there is any move up, we would know by then. But given the total seats are only 4, I don't know how many can move up...

Hi guys! New to Archinect and wanted to connect with other applicants. :)

Got into Umich and Columbia, waiting for responses from MIT and Yale.

I'm struggling to make a decision due to my financial situation. If anyone is on the same boat please reach out.

Columbia was my top, but even with the 50% scholarship I got I'd still be at least $100k in debt coming out of the program. Umich gave me an 80% scholarship and is in my hometown so the financial burden would be significantly less for me. Is the education starkly different enough that it would be worth it to go into debt for Columbia?

Mar 15, 22 12:55 pm  ·
1  ·
ilwei

lol I'm mistaken I'd be over $100K in debt

Mar 15, 22 1:33 pm  ·

sanahmengi

Hahahahah I love the fact that you came here and corrected that. Hehe. For what all its worth, Columbia is great but so is Taubman. I don't think any degree is worth the debt. Besides, Umich is 2 years and Columbia 3 right? So I think wait for MIT and Yale but you should go with umich

Mar 15, 22 2:10 pm  ·
2  ·
lootiecht

also in the same boat as I received no funding from gsapp for m.arch. I've gotten lots of mixed answers and am struggling so hard because it's my number one and I've always wanted to go to Columbia. but ultimately I really don't know if it's worth it. I also received almost a full scholarship from Cornell so I don't know. I just don't know haha.

Mar 15, 22 2:32 pm  ·
2  ·
ilwei

@sanahmengi Taubman is still 3! yeah, I think I'm leaning toward not having $100k+ debt. I was thinking about negotiating the scholarship amounts if possible but not sure if that will work out. Thanks for your feedback

Mar 15, 22 2:59 pm  ·
1  ·
ilwei

@loo26 Wow!!! congrats on Cornell!! I feel ya on Columbia since it was also my #1. I really like the faculty and curriculum there but idk if I can justify going into such terrible debt. that $100k+ debt could go toward a house or something

Mar 15, 22 3:02 pm  ·
2  ·
hnate

From what I've heard, it's definitely worth trying to negotiate with admissions to try and get more financial aid. If you tell Columbia that they're your first choice but the only sticking point is $$ (and also tell them that you have an 80% scholarship elsewhere) they might decide to give you more. But that being said Michigan is a really great option and you'd get a great education there as well. Imo it makes way more sense to go there unless Columbia or another school turns around and gives you a lot more money!

Mar 15, 22 3:11 pm  ·
 ·
MTTS

@iiwei - Let me start by saying Columbia vs UMich is not worth a 100k+ debt difference. However, the difference maker is if you are looking to get into a few particular firms and if you are trying to be partially or fully in the academic world in specific schools. However regardless of your direction, remember that you also have opportunities for graduate TA positions and such. Columbia's ones pay anywhere from 10k to 20k per semester, yes per semester and Columbia doesn't consider need based aid until summer if I am not mistaken, so you can potentially get more money, talk to the school and flush out the details. And of course always negotiate, you would be surprised how far it can get you. I have seen a person succeed in negotiating from 50% to 75% funding at Cornell. The fact that you have 80% funding from UMich will help. Best of luck!

Yes! And with money as a consideration, I think someone else mentioned elsewhere in this thread but Michigan is one of the only arch schools I’ve heard of where a grad teaching appointment is a full tuition waiver. I think their site says there are roughly 100 students trying for every 30 GSI spots, so honestly those odds feel good.

I am deciding between UMich (2 yrs) and UPenn (3 yrs).

They both equal out financially cause UPenn gave me WAY more in scholarship money, although living in Philly would be more expensive. I am trying to leverage that to see if Michigan could give more money.

UMich seems to align more with what I want to research, but I feel like I would be passing up an amazing opportunity if turning down UPenn,

Any advice from fellow applicants on what influences their decision?

Mar 16, 22 10:44 am  ·

I think this is a difficult choice, honeslty. It will all boil doen to what your heart says, and how long of a program are you willing to do. Honestly, everyday I get new admits but my heart doesn't seem to leave uMich. I am currently choosing between umich and berkeley (I don't think I am gonna get MIT/ Columbia now), and with every passing day I am loving the research uMich does, so its got a huge influence on my choices.

I have applied for MSc in architecture in tu delft and a few days ago I got the rejected I got these reasons as rejection

Your application has been rejected for the following reason(s):
- The Selection Committee considers the quality of your portfolio insufficient.
- We received many interesting and excellent applications and therefore competition for entry into our master
programme has been high. The Admissions Committee reviewed all applications very carefully and we regret to
inform you that your application was not among those that we were able to accept.

but they didn't give me more explanation as previously I have checked most of the rejection letters there was more point about why applicant being rejected. hereby I attach the portfolio

so for those who have a clue please command below why do you think I got rejected.

For the future, if you plan to re-apply, try to declutter it. There is a lot happening that even some of the great visuals that you have get overshadowed. Less is more when it comes to renders, don't put like 10 but choose maybe your best 3-4 per project. Also look at accepted portfolios to that university to get an idea of what they like and the style they go for. For one of the programs I applied to, I realized they liked minimalistic portfolios so I kept mine very simple with 1-2 renders/diagrams per page and was selective on what to include.

Best of luck!

The problem may be that you have too much text, which may need to be improved. I recommend you reduce the amount of words and select the images (very strong ones, quality over quantity) you want to show. Best of Luck!

Mar 16, 22 7:08 pm  ·
1  ·
jhcat

My humble advice: I think you have too much text and they are too concentrated, try to translate your text into drawings/diagrams with one or two lines of explanations. Go through student works from the TU Delft website and accepted portfolios to see the styles, you can apply that to your portfolio. Also try not to squeeze all images in one page, leave some space, add captions for your image, it will make it easier to understand. Best of luck!!

Hi, to answer your question. I am an international applicant and did apply to AA/ Delft. Got into AA/ Delft rejected me. However I was just applying for the sake of it, I never wanted to go to European universities (esp Delft for Urbanism). This is so because the universities in London, even though are very research oriented (aa for example), they tend to have lesser scholarships and you have to apply external scholarships, when the cost of living and the tuition is almost similar to US. Secondly, Europe offers way lesser campus jobs (like TA/ RA) as they don’t really have that kind of educational budget. In US, education is treated like tourism, and hence they know that a big chunk of money is coming from that, so allocate a lot of funds to education (public universities are highly funded, and private as well). When I was thinking about Eu vs US, these were amongst some of the factors I considered. (There are many more, however I can’t type here lol x)

Tu Delft is definitely worth it! A lot of the people on this forum are U.S. students so that's why you are seeing so many American Universities. The US is host to so many good architecture programs that we rarely look outside, especially since the educators and architects around us who influence our decisions are from these schools, for example most of my professors were mostly from MIT and Cornell and my co workers are from Harvard and Yale.

I applied to Berkeley, UCLA, GSAPP, SCi-Arc.

Out - Berkeley

TBD - UCLA, GSAPP, SCi-Arc

I haven't hear from those three. Seems like they already sent out though... Has anyone heard from those three schools?

Hi all. This forum has been very helpful, so wanted to contribute:

I was an international student at mid/high tier US college (not Ivy league). I was in an individualized major program. GPA: 3.3 (no GRE)

  • Letters of recommendations: 2 professors and my current employer (at a very large architectural practice)
  • Personal statement: discussed my background and how my interest in architecture began, my experience at college / my learning journey, experience working in a practice without a B.Arch, and discussed my goals for M.Arch and beyond, and my motives for pursuing these studies.
  • Portfolio: 6 projects/bodies of work: 2 academic projects (conceptual, urban scale), 3 personal projects (1 handmade, 1 conceptual, small scale architecture, and some photography), 1 professional project (very large scale architecture. Showed my contribution to the project and some renders)
  • Results (all M.Arch I):
    • Yale - In
    • GSD - In
    • GSAPP - In
    • Cornell - In ($$)
    • Princeton - In ($$$$)
    • RICE - Waitlist
    • MIT - Pending: but assuming out at this point
  • I didn't go to any open houses but planning on going to the open houses for admitted students (frustrated that Yale and Princeton are on the same day)
  • Tips: Give yourself more time than you think you need... for me: almost all the work in my portfolio was developed and polished up (about 75% of the work was new/updated). Most of this was rushed into the final 3 weeks before deadlines as I was extremely busy at work and had very little time to work on the applications. I ended up submitting the applications an hour before the deadlines and didn't get much sleep around that time, and was very stressful. Same with the essays, start those early. For the portfolio: try to show your breadth with different types of projects: different mediums, scales, etc. For essays/statements: be genuine with yourself about what you want to achieve at grad school and why you want to go to the school you're applying to. Convey that as concisely and clearly as possible, and show the same ideas in your portfolio.

Follow up from the previous post:

I am quite torn between Yale and Princeton (I am waiting to hear about funding from Yale, but assuming they're equal offers). I was not expecting to get an acceptance to Princeton and was previously set on Yale. Yale seems to have a very well-rounded program that would really suit my interests and goals. Princeton has a much smaller class size, and from my understanding, is much more theoretical and scholarly. If anyone has any input in regards to the program at Princeton, or any comments on Yale vs Princeton, I would really appreciate it!

hey greengrasshopper. I think I'm on the same boat with you (international, MArch I, deciding between Yale and Princeton)! I was targeting Yale and didn't really take Princeton seriously until getting their offer with great funding. People usually say Yale is practical and Princeton theoretical. really wonder how true it is. Instead, I have a feeling that Yale is more toward artistic and Princeton intellectual. will follow your thread and hear more comments.

Congrats to everyone! It seems like a lot of you have been successful with acceptances and funding as well. I received my acceptance letter at Columbia GSAPP M.S.AAD without funding. I know there are a lot of M.Arch folks who received funding, but I was wondering whether anyone received funding for M.S.AAD. If so about how much?! Although the M.S.AAD is an intense but short 1-year program, the tuition is no joke plus the living cost in New York is unreal. With the job market being so strong I am having a hard time deciding whether I should pass this opportunity, save up for grad school while working and try applying next time hoping for better funding?... Any thoughts?...

Mar 17, 22 2:29 pm  ·

Hey, congrats to you too! I was accepted on the 16th with a ca. 20% scholarship they called the "M.S.AAD Scholarship" in the letter. I thought I was rejected at first since it seemed like everyone else got their offers on the 14th... I heard GSAPP traditionally doesn't give much funding for this program in general, but they didn't mention if the reward was the maximum they could offer. I got into some M.Arch II programs I preferred from the beginning and am leaning towards not taking this offer, so hopefully they pass it on to one of you!

Mar 18, 22 7:43 am  ·

OMAf fAMO

Yeah, I haven't seen many people get funding for this program... The fact that it is a 1-year program is personally appealing to me because I am likely a bit older than the rest of the folks I will be taking courses with. Ughhh but it is soooo much money. Anyways, thanks for your reply and I do hope they pass your scholarship on to me or whoever really needs it!

This forum has been invaluable throughout the past half year, keeping the anxiety in check...so here is my contribution:

  • Undergraduate Degree/ School/ Year graduated

B.S. in Arch, UMN 18'

  • GPA - GRE  - TOEFL

3.6 - N/A to any programs I applied to - N/A

  • Letter of recommendations

(2) undergrad studio professors whom I had the best connections with during class, who I knew knew my work, (1) supervisor/boss. Partner of the firm, not Principal, but who I've had the closest personal relationship with. I had reached out several months in advance and they submitted up to the final hours

  • Personal Essay/Statement

Perhaps the most challenging for me - a real grounding process and gaining clarity as to the why behind this decision of going to school after having taken several years off from school to work. About 4-5wks of refining drafts and having people read them over (definitely could've had more people read them than I did)

  • Portfolio

Having worked for around 4yrs after undergrad, primarily doing CA at an architecture firm, my graphics/software skills were rusty. Gave myself about 3 full months of really diving back into projects, as they had aged terribly and ultimately ended up redeveloping/starting anew probably 80% of graphics and completely overhauled layout/flow. (4) Undergrad studio projects, (2) independent drawings from school, (2) professional project examples. Leaned more minimal than not. Get feedback from a few people who's work you respect and who will give you the time of day to dive into it

  • Schools/Results (all M. Arch w/Advanced Standing)

In at UT Austin, UVA, NC State, U of Washington, UC Denver; sTilL wAiTiNg for MIT but it's a reach regardless

Still ruminating funding, wasn't awarded much up front...my elephant in the room right now...

  • Open house impressions

Attended virtual sessions for UVA, UT Austin, UC Denver. UVA and UT's admissions staff and faculty seemed very engaged and responsive. Only online research/old open house videos for MIT, NC State. Visited UW during an unrelated trip to Seattle. Visiting UVA, UT, NC State soon

Torn between UT & NC, and UVA due to the program. Leaning towards UT. Moving with SO so location, not asinine cost-of-living and non-school factors are important

  • Tips

Portfolio -  other than taking more time than you think you need - come at it with a plan. I developed schemes/flashcard-like spreads for my portfolio before re-doing anything to help define project narratives to myself, and to craft how that narrative could translate to only a few pages. Assigning milestones/deadlines for each project was key

Generally I tried to think more about where I would like to move rather than which programs were necessarily the strongest/not. Wanting to leave the Twin Cities after 26yrs of life was a main driver for where I applied. Had no idea where to go but this approach helped eliminate a lot at the front end research process.

I am also so torn, between GSAPP and three other schools!! there are a good bit of threads posted from previous years talking about if GSAPP and other ivys are worth it. Seems to depend on how much in loans you'd have to take out/can your parents help, and the cost of living in NY already being so expensive. But if GSAPP has the program you are dying for and the connections you want - that is certainly worth considering

Hi Guys,

I’m back here. Okay so now that I’m waitlisted at Columbia and not getting any information from MIT, I guess it could be safe to say that now I have to start to make a decision from the current options that I have. I got selected at (Sci Arc, Pratt, UoMiami, UIUC, UCLA, UCBerkeley, AA London, uMich(Taubman), Carnegie Mellon and GaTech. Waitlisted at Columbia.

Of the options I have for the MUD programs, I think I’m the most inclined towards Carnegie Mellon, Taubman College and UC Berkeley. CMU is being the most expensive, then Taubman and then UCB. Taubman has offered 15K, however I did negotiate and they will tell a decision on 28th March. Uptil now CMU and Berkeley haven’t offered anything.

All of these are great options, but UCB and Taubman are having a tough fight. UCB is a 1 year degree (which is a downside for me) and Taubman is 1.5, which is good. (CMU is 2). However the MUD program at Taubman is older than UCb. Next, Berkeley is a beautiful city (big), whereas Ann Arbor is a student town. The rankings and the prestige is somewhat similar. Berkeley’s tuition is 25k, whereas uMich after 1st round scholarship is 60k right now. The GSI positions and work opportunities are interesting at uMich (fee waivers). Honestly uMich and Berkeley are actually subpar.

I could really use some help here. Thankyou in advance.

90k (= 1.5-2 year's salary) for an optional masters that won't teach you how to do real research, and will just delay the reality of professional office life while allowing you to accrue debt that will take a decade+ to pay off?

hard pass.

Which one has faculty you would like to work with/ learn from, and have as future contacts?
Which one would give you the best network of peers during and after?
Do you want to work in the respective regions of either university after you graduate?

For an international student, I think Berkeley has a more recognized name around the globe than UMich. Sounds like it’s also cheaper?

Mar 18, 22 10:30 am  ·

sanahmengi

As an international student, I don't know much about the professors except what I could find on the websites, google scholar etc. So I think both the universities have a great pool of faculty. Secondly, network of peers, again its gonna be the same for both, I think the peer network forms better in a degree thats over a year. Next, as an international student, I would want to work in firms like Sasaki, which are towards the East Coast. West Coast seems exciting to live in though. I don't see myself living in either places after graduation. Would want to move to a location on the East coast or LA (if at all on the west coast). And your last point, that's the reason for the dilemma

How familiar are you with a building process? You will learn how to design (only design) as much from top-ranking programs as other programs do. Go for the school that really wants you by giving lots of funding, making your life so much more flexible after graduation. All the schools you have applied to are wond erful, they are spectacular programs, and many of the professors are from prestigious universities, so take advantage of them.

Then go to Cornell. It’s prestigious enough and you can always work in NY as well. Columbia would mean a lot of debt. Both are ivys, good names, program at Columbia might be better but Cornell should be bad tho. Also look at the fact that is Columbia’s program worth the investment and debt, or could you get that in Cornell as well. Lastly see the professors at both places, things like that and decide.

Hi everyone. Congratulations on your acceptances! It is very exciting to take the next step in your careers. If you have multiple acceptances, you are in a very fortunate position. Remember you have already achieved a lot! I wish you the best of luck in finding the right fit for you.

Forums like this have really helped me in my application process so I  thought I would share. I know this thread was intended for M Arch but I could not find 2022 design adjacent programs' results.

Undergraduate Degree/ School/ Year graduated

B Arch. in AZ/ 2018

GPA - GRE  - TOEFL

3.8 - N/A - N/A

Schools Applied (casted a small net)

UC Berkeley CED - MUD
Columbia GSAPP - MSAUD
Harvard GSD - MAUD

Letter of recommendations

CED - 1 principal who went to Berkeley. 1 professor I TA'd for. 1 professor who taught me during a summer program at Berkley.
GSAPP - 1 associate that I that I have worked with on projects. 1 professor I TA'd for. 1 GSAPP alum professor I did research with.
GSD - Shuffled 3 recommenders from above + a theory professor who is an alum

Personal Essay/Statement

I wrote about my family's migration history. The value of placemaking. Reflections on current problems and the role of urban design. Then I tied everything to my career aspirations and how the degree would help me in my endeavors.

Portfolio

3 academic projects (1 independent thesis, 2 studio projects).
2 professional projects (1 large core & shell project and 1 interior adaptive reuse project).
Last few pages included personal explorations: model-making, study abroad sketches, and nature paintings

Results
CED - In with fellowship
GSAPP - In with scholarship
GSD - Out but glad I went for it and I learned a lot

Tips
Weave as many components of your application together as possible to tell the admission committee who you are as a person, as a designer, as a student, etc. I wish I could have started the process a lot earlier and not took on too many things at once. Be kind to yourself. Give yourself time and space. I am lucky to have mentors whom have some kind of connection to these institutions and friends who read over my materials. Find support and use all the resources available.

I would love to connect with folx who recently got accepted into summer programs at CED and/or GSAPP! Hope to see some of you at open house!

Has anybody heard about the 4Cities program? The description and concept seem great to understand the European way of Urbanism.

I got a rejection from their Erasmus Mundus scholarship, waiting for a non-waiver admission. They have mentioned that they prefer a diverse group but it seems to be a closed "gated-ish" community....

Hi Guys, I would like to ask what school would you choose between Sci-Arc or UMich (Both are 2 years). Both are great school, so I'm torn on picking one. Financially its about the same but the cost of living in LA is much more expansive. Sci-Arc teaching can be less practical since it base on mostly on abstracted graphical and animation representation, which are to my liking but I'm not sure if it ideal in work environment later on. Thanks for any opinion.

My senior went to sci arc for the same program. Graduated in the 1st lockdown and couldn't find a job there. So he had to come back to India and work here.

V.Ng you need to give a bit more context with the question so you can get really helpful feedback. Right now the question is left such that the feedback you will get is people"s personal inclinations instead of a more objective take based on what is important to you. I'll start by saying both schools are great, during the 1st lockdown most firms were not hiring and many were letting people go, so that isn't a good baseline for comparison. Next I'm sure you know, the two schools are very different: Northeast coast vs west coast, Thom Mayne ideology verses Monica Ponce De Leon (she was a major influence as a previous dean) . And so much more. There is such a difference that it's not an easy comparison unless you tell us what matters to you because the experience and the direction each would land you after graduation can be different. If it the comparison was Harvard vs Columbia, there is a fine line of comparable elements since they are very similar so even without knowing what's important to you I could give you a lot. So yea, what is your interest, what direction do you want to go with the degree, do you care what coast you will be when you graduate, are there firms you would like to work at or do you want to remain in academia and anything else relevant?

Hi everyone!

I got accepted into CMU (MSSD) and TU Delft (Building Technology Track). They're both great programs and I'm  grappling with a hard decision. I'm an international student, so post degree work opportunities in the country is definitely a factor for me. Although I'm more partial towards the course at TU Delft, I feel like CMU's small class size and work opportunities in the US give it an edge. Financially CMU is still a little more expensive than TU Delft after the scholarship I've received for it.

I would love to hear opinions from you guys and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Am an International student and got accepted to UNI Michi (Taubman) with $$ for 2yr MArch & TU Delft MSc (Architecture Track). Now grappling with the decision making. Taubman College being the oldest Architecture College in US and TU Delft being oldest in Netherlands make the decision making even more difficult.

  1. Ranking: TU Delft much higher- but does anyone know why? If one looks at the course structure, it is remarkably similar.
  2. Tuition fees: TU Delft much lower even after part waiver from Taubman
  3. Post study job experience: 3 years in US vs 1 year in Netherlands for International students
  4. Students in graduate program: ~450 at Taubman vs ~1500 at TU Delft- what is the studio size at TU Delft? Any idea. 1500 is too overwhelming even if you consider that they have several tracks.

Anyone keen on TU Delft Architecture Track? Love to hear your opinions.

I would be careful to rely on the rankings from QS. Their architecture-specific rankings are not very accurate and don’t take into account the many factors that make this field unique. Many people have debunked that ranking, with immediate evidence lying in the presence of universities without architecture schools in the top 20. I wouldn’t even place TU Delft in the top 10.

Hey! Congratulations on your admissions. What do you mean by 'post-study job experience'? One gets a year to look for a job in the Netherlands but once you get one, there's no limit to continue working there.....right?

MLA applicant here

Undergraduate Degree/ School/ Year graduated

BA in Architectural Studies/Mount Holyoke /2017 (International Student)

GPA - GRE  - TOEFL

3.79 - No GRE - No TOEFL

Letter of recommendations

3 recommendations: 2 from professors and 1 work supervisor.

Personal Essay/Statement

I wrote about my working experience and the change of perspective that shifted my focus to landscape architecture. Also talked about studying and working across the globe

Portfolio

Since I spent five years working, three of which as project coordinator so my portfolio was quite simple with school work and a few work projects. Included a study of landscape design initiatives/ study I did on my own during my time as project coordinator for the developer. It's also tied back to my essay as well

Schools

Harvard GSD, UPenn, UC Berkeley, UofT and UBC

Tips

Start your portfolio early, looking back on your previous projects and see if there is any material you could improve, add in. From you portfolio tie some of the experience to the essay. A cohesive story/ flow would do well, showcase your skill and focus much better than just throwing all the best pictures. Also a simple but well layout portfolio.

Results

Harvard GSD: Out (still happy I tried my best)

UPenn: In ($)

Berkeley: still waiting (but probably out)

UofT: In

UBC: In

I'm in the process of negotiating funding since right now the financial planning for all 3 (UofT, UBC and UPenn) is about the same :< I hope they will respond with some good news for my finalization. Would love to get some feedback about UofT and UBC program as well! Happy to connect with other MLA fellows who are deciding.

I did not sadly, currently asking for any additional funding/ support but have not heard back. It's quite a substantial amount for international student (3yr MLA)

Got into UofT's MLA as well and likely accepting, I'm also trying to figure out funding because I only got an entrance award in funding that's not significant. They don't look like they give out much funding from my research sadly. I'm a local student though so tuition is do-able in comparison. Honestly, make a decision based on what kind of education you want, location, the professors there who's research aligns with yours, where you want to work in the future, funding (don't get into big debt for this because everyone I know has said it's not worth it). Best of luck!

Hi, I am an International Student and i got accepted into Carnegie Mellon university with $$ and Georgia Tech for Masters in Architecture (Financially both are about the same ). Now I am confused between the two as both the schools have great reputation. Although i am partial towards CMU because of the Curriculum and limited class size. I'm also debating if I should go to Pittsburgh over Atlanta.

I would love to hear opinions from you guys and any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Congratulations. am in a lot of dilemma and confusion too- between Georgia Tech & Uni Michi. Adv for GA Tech obviously being in big city with moderate weather. Pittsburg is very harsh for students specially from tropics. GA tech is ranked higher for M Arch, in fact CMU does not find a place in DI ranking for graduate studies (which I found it strange, considering the undergraduate course is ranked within top 10)

Ss18 I'm in the same boat as you, contemplating Between Taubman and GTech and I'm pretty torn. Do either of you know much about Gtech's program? All I know is that they're really sustainable focused

What I learnt, GA Tech is more Tech heavy and Uni Michi is Design heavy. Honestly do not understand what this means!!

It seems like most of us are applying to a handful of the same schools!

Has anyone applied to Notre Dame or CCA M.Arch?
