You're responsible for your own time management. Most students struggle achieving good balance between school and social because of the pressures of studio. Some will even testify that self-sacrifice to the architecture gods is a necessity at all costs. The latter group is wrong. Everyone struggles at first but if you take a smart approach to your work, you'll find time for other things than architecture school. If you can't, then, in 5y from now, you'll be the one telling kids how disappointed you are that arch school did not make you a millionaire astronaut rock-star.
