We had this discussion at work this week. What would you consider are the best design decissions when proposing a half restroom for a public building?
I know some ANSI standards layouts include a door that opens into the restroom. What happens if the user is falls next to the door? How can he/she be assisted if shes blocking the door. For me doors should always open in the opposite direction of the restroom.
This layout would work for me 100% as long as the door doesn't open directly to a hallway or transit space.
do you not require a dedicated transfer space next to the watercloset? This layout is 100% non-compliant with regulations in my area so this looks really small.
