OK, only out of date a dozen years but it still works on my old MacBook 1.1. . .

It's been 5 yrs since I used V'works and cannot remember all the quick keys that I had memorized.  

Here is what I need:  

When in Top/Plan view dimensioning a 3D object works.  However, there is a workaround that does not require the file to be UNstacked that allows dimensioning in other views.   Please help me remember . . . !   I need the layers to be stacked to be able to click onto the right spots.
