I'm currently writing an essay discussing differences between UK architectural practice and that of practices from another county.
The aim is to find aspects from how practice differs in another country and propose to bring these changes to the UK to enrich the local architectural industry.
I'm currently struggling to decide on a country that differs substantially from the UK and has some interesting changes that could be brought over (not protection of function).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Examples of areas where practice may differ:
- Fee calculation
- Governing bodies
- Professional standards
- Appointment
- Architect's powers
- Reassurances given
- Scope of work
Please do get in touch if you want to discuss how changes have affected a particular project
Thanks =D
