My parents in OC are facing some health care issues that are necessitating the conversion of a ground floor room into a bedroom suite. Not really any design involved BUT they will need to cut into their stupid post-tensioned slab to trench for the new plumbing locations.
Has anyone done this before? If so, can you point me in the right direction for a structural engineer or other local professional who can help with having the slab x-rayed and advise on whether this project is remotely feasible?
I think at this point we mainly need a PE but if we end up needing an architect I’d be happy to hand this off to someone. Thanks in advance folks.
