Shallow bar building

Hi, everyone! I am translating a document from English to Spanish for an architecture firm. I'm not sure what the term "shallow bar building" means. Could you explain the meaning in English? Thanks!!!

Can you provide the sentence or some more context? 

Literally? It's a wide but not deep building that has a bar (pub/cafe) inside. But that doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

It's a building that is much longer than it is wide.   It is often used in warmer climates to facilitate natural cross-ventilation.  It is also often useful in groups for shaping outdoor spaces like quadrangles or courtyards on its long edges.

Need more context.  "Building" could mean 'how it is constructed', therefore 'shallow bar construction' could be a  12 to 18-inch type counter over a pony wall.  With some context we might be able to figure out...
