Im looking into switching from architecture to construction management but I want to know what exactly do they do in real life jobs because what I thought architects do to what I saw when I was pursuing my major in firms is not the same

OP, how much experience do you have in architecture?

A construction manager is anything from a deceloper's inhouse bean counter to an independent consultant responsible for all aspects of construction projects.

Construction manager is a glorified middleman. Yeah maybe you get paid more but can you live your life knowing you are a parasite feeding off architect's creativity and drive and owner's money and naivete?

Like architects, they come in all shapes and sizes: good, bad, and ugly.
