Hi, I’m interested in studying architecture as a hobby. I’m particularly interested in modern architecture. I was hoping somebody would point me in the right direction. If anyone could recommend a good book or documentary to get me started, I’d greatly appreciate it.

Try looking up BBC's Dreamspaces series from a decade or so ago, explains architecture quite nicely in my opinion.
there are a few universities that offer classes for free. Best of luck. Architecture is really a hobby job... shouldn’t make a career out of it
