Just a quick question on portfolio samples because I'm new at this, but are CVs necessary since most of the time firms ask for resumes attached to them in one PDF?
This is a confusing question. Yes, people typically attach a cv with a work samples page(s).
A CV is usually more detailed than a resume, but they are used interchangeably. You send one or the other, not both
I don't even know the difference, I just write down where and when I worked and studied and what I was doing there. Usually works for me.
