Architectural Design alternative career tracks?

jaysen

Hey everyone!

Longtime reader, new subscriber.

As I am currently finishing up my bachelors degree I'm looking for interesting things to do that are not necessarily a traditional 'architecture' track, but that are project oriented and involve intuitive problem solving. I also really like architectural theory and experimental stuff.

It could be I am just burnt out from the time I've put into school so far...

Anyway, It would be great to hear some personal anecdotes or suggestions.

Best and thanks,

J

Dig out previous threads on this subject.  It has been beaten to death by previous posters.

Urban Design? From there you can branch to Landscape, Real Estate, Urban Planning, Environmental, etc. There's also Space Syntax (look it up!) in relation to that.

I also really like architectural theory and experimental stuff.

Computational Design, Digital Fabrication, etc. will get you into coding and programming as well.
