Need to know if a house built on an arch over a river has a technical term.

So a buddy of mine was talking about a house built on a river and he got to describing it. The house was built on a huge arch with a river running through it. I tried looking for a term but could not find any technical term for it. I'm sorry if I am wasting anyones time but curiosity has gotten the better of me. Don't know what this should go under, appreciate any anwsers I could get.

If you search for "bridge house" there are a lot of images that sound like what you're describing. I've never heard a specific term for that arrangement, though.

Great idea. I imagine they've since closed that loophole.
