Hello! I am studying landscape architecture in Romania, Europe and I was wondering if I can get a job overseas, possibly in USA. Here, in Romania landscape architecture is still new and wont make a living out of it.
It's not impossible, but often very difficult. If you have an impressive portfolio and are immediately work ready (good working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe CC, Microsoft office, etc; as well as an understanding of office work ethic -be early, stay late, communicate well, etc), then there's a chance one of the bigger firms will take you on. Note that there has been a large number of graduates entering the market to compete with and a visa is a big risk for many smaller firms to assist.
