I'm planning to move to Dallas this summer but I wonder how the architecture firms are doing in the middle of oil crisis. All the oil companies are struggling now and it will have a huge impact on the Texas economy I think.
Did work down there a long time ago when oil was king, but more centered around Houston….Dallas is based on banking, telecommunications, technology, energy & healthcare….growing at over 80,000 people a year…largest grown in construction jobs in the country…gotta put those folks somewhere.
I left Dallas 6 months ago and I just checked my old office and they still have not filled my position. There is a serious lack of talent that you can use to your advantage as well. Don't be afraid to negotiate hard when the time comes.
How are the firms doing in Texas?

You'll have no problem getting a job. It's a buyers market for job seekers.

You should be able to find a job in Dallas without much difficulty.
