Most architects only last 10 years.

A good discussion here, following the lonely ebay draftbaby.

Oh, proto... tell us what it was like in the olden times, before all the gizmos, gadgets and trolls. Is it true that people once watched screens with a clothes hanger poking out the top? And did the Astorians in Oregon really miss their one chance to sacrifice at that active volcano?  So many questions we have....

In May '04 I was graduating high school but already years into my life goal of becoming an architect. If only I'd found this place back then, I could have posted the first "Is architecture for me?" thread that wildly misinterpreted the profession.

Just in case: proto, my comment above is not a dig, but an affectionate zing.   I'm older than all of you put together.

no worries at all, citizen. i do remember life before the internet. i'm not at all the most prolific poster here, and took some time away for a while in the many intervening years.
