I've walked on my roof, it's 2"x4" @ 24" o.c., little bounce, but all good. That's how they did it 100 years ago...Since there was no insulation the snow just melts right off, so no snow load.

TYPES OF ROOFS
Hi guys, I would like to ask something regarding roofs: How, where and why are each type of roof used? Hope you’d help me out
Pitched roofs are used in places where it's a good idea to use them. Flat roofs are used everywhere else. That is all the types of roofs.
Good luck with whatever assignment you're half-assing.
thatched straw is pretty cool for most applications - water and fire proof - and cheap!
That "-and cheap!" really killed me with laughter.
If a roof is used to keep water out of a building, and it leaks ... is it still considered a roof?
I guess that depends on your definition of roof, is it a form or a function?
Everything you need to know is here.
Oh man, Marcus is gonna be pissed ...
gruen, are you sure you know what boats are?
i , too, would like to know.
There are only two types of roof - roofs that leak and roofs that don't leak.
Wrong. There are two types of roofs - roofs that leak and roofs that will leak.
