Difference between job prospects in the US and Canada

kavvyr

Hey everyone,
I am about to start my undergrad architecture education this fall in toronto which will take me approximately 6.5-8 years depending on where I want to do my masters. I've read a lot about people's experience in the field of architecture in the states on this forum but I haven't really seen many responses about architecture in Canada, more specifically the toronto area.
Are architects in demand in Canada? Are job prospects better in Canada than the states? How so? What will the field of architecture be like in 7-8 years?

Also, with the degree I am about to pursue, I have an option to do my masters in landscape architecture, or even urban design. Do you think those are better options?
