Would like to get into Harvard GSD, but I need to see what the other schools offer in regards to admission and financial aid.
Say what you will, but those are the ones I applied to. I needed to make sure I got in somewhere bc of my inability to get recommendations after this year.
I don't mean to criticize, especially someone coming from a non-arch background. I think 6-8 is a really healthy number for someone with an arch background though.

I would be happy with A&M or UT, Arlington and Tech were my safety schools. My folks insisted I apply to UW because my grandfather went to their architecture school, but I'm a Texas resident so tuition costs are a compelling reason to stay here.
I did skype interview twice with the program director and was notified of my acceptance during my second interview. I should receive an official e-mail with details sometime this week or next week he said.
@archhopeful. I'm actually not considered international. I didnt have to submit a TOEFL score because I'm a dual citizen and grew up in the states - so I don't think that is the case, not here at least...
Digital Technologies. Do you have any insights on what the program would be like? I assume a lot of grasshopper and actual fabrication but I'd like to know more.
So far, I've heard back from RISD, MIT, and Michigan, in that order. No word yet from GSD, GSAPP, Penn, Cornell, Berkeley, or UCLA yet. I expect they'll start trickling in next week.
"##### ######
Congratulations!
You will receive a formal letter of admission (via email) with complete details
of your admission offer shortly."
Guys that's what I got an hour ago.
Does this mean that I got accepted?
It's kinda unclear to me...
sorry I missed to mention the school. It was Michigan.
and I got a video saying a congratulations to me. The letter was that one I just wrote.
So am I in Michigan ?
I did not get accepted to MIT (it is pretty much my dream school). I was waitlisted from M.Arch 1, through an email. So, @annairamgo I really hope you get into Harvard and turn down MIT's offer so they can give it to me!
@YLMS I have no idea if they have notified everyone. The waitlists all got the email today, I think, judging from gradcafe, but for all I know there could still be acceptance calls trickling in.

@sirhc when did you hear back from Michigan? Was it through email or through the online application status??
Was just offered an interview w/ Princeton. I didn't realize they interviewed..?
@parimala, I heard last week. I applied to the Landscape Architecture program though, which is considerably smaller.
@anyone
Did anyone get an interview from the GSD?
@chi-arc
I did skype interview twice with the program director and was notified of my acceptance during my second interview. I should receive an official e-mail with details sometime this week or next week he said.
@citizencites
Not me, did you get an interview?
I believe all those interviews are for international students only (at least at the schools that don't advertise interviews like GSD, Princeton, etc.)
@sirhc Which one of the MSArchs are you doing?
@archhopeful. I'm actually not considered international. I didnt have to submit a TOEFL score because I'm a dual citizen and grew up in the states - so I don't think that is the case, not here at least...
@natematt
Digital Technologies. Do you have any insights on what the program would be like? I assume a lot of grasshopper and actual fabrication but I'd like to know more.
@citizencities
I didnt get an interview either..... although I am international ....
@annairamgo when did you hear from mit?
@everyone
According to grad cafe, someone heard back from MLA at PennDesign via email. Didn't apply for the program, but thought to let you all know.
@jajahahaja I got a phone call Monday morning.
It would be good if you post your portfolio up here, esp M.Arch 1 applicants. Thanks.
I don't feel comfortable doing that until all the decisions have come out. A little superstitious I guess.
^same. I'm waiting for all or at least most decisions to post any information here.
Oregon just said NO :(
From what I can tell, the majority of decisions will be out next week
@sirhc
yeah, I always read it as a lot of fabrication, grasshopper, and python.
If you're into that sort of thing it seemed like it would be pretty fun. They have a ton of technology you can use.
@bvega
am really nervous now , seeing people getting that lot of offer in gradcafe and still have not hear anything from my schools yet.
btw do anyone know if. normally American students will get their offer earlier than international ones ???
just got an acceptance email from Georgia Tech. Waiting to see if I get any financial aid.
@bvega
Congratulations! Random question, but did you by chance do career discovery at the GSD?
Thanks.
No. I did not do the career discovery at GSD. Why?
Looks like some schools are coming out today , Michigan and Wustl
