And while this may seem like a joke thread, I am being mildly serious about this.
If you could choose a single (I'll even extend to this question to two or three specific color choices) color that you would like to see used more... what would it be?
Hands down for me?
Pink.
It's one of the few colors that ages well. A deep pink wall will bleach out to an even pinker color before eventually turning white. Pink, like red, is a great color for reflecting heat despite being relatively 'dark.'
And.... while most buildings painted pink are generally awful... pink seems to make even the most hideous buildings bearable.
i'll respond slightly differently than the question posed: with a color that's not my favorite color, nor even a color that i want to see used more. this is a color that becomes associated with a particular architect.
i love when an architect has the discipline, consistenty quality, and then gets the recognition that allows for a color to become specific to their office.
What's your favorite 'architecutral' color?

Well color me surprised.
ughh. Google search on pink unicorns brings back waaaaaaay too many disturbing images. Like this:
Come on... how many architects in the 20th century have actually spec'd a building to be pink with gold leaf?
If post-post-modernism and avant garde is suppose to push the envelope... there's a lot of buildings that aren't covered in glitter.
I totally responded to this.
In a wrong thread.
Go fishing!
Pink can be cool though..
Speaking of color, this is probably the most interesting product developed in the last decade by 3M: 3M™ Radiant Light Film CM500
It was recently utilized by UNstudio on their La Defense project(shameless plug to own site).
