Anybody registered with both or know people who have both? Is there a point to it? A waste of time money and energy to have NCIDQ if you are registered as an architect? What if you do alot of interior architecture?
If you are a licensed architect pretty much you can be eligible to apply for the interior design license. I think is a good way to open your range of opportunities if you want to work as an interior designer where is required. See NCIDQ website for more details.
Interior architecture in architecture firms is a little different of the interior design that involves a different set of drawings, illustrations, finishes and specs.
Interior design/architecture is a different field from architecture. Simply because one is an architect it doesn't mean they can make a good interior designer.
In terms of the ncidq if you want to be a registered designer then take it .
NCARB plus NCIDQ?
