Bike Bar

The halls of a Chelsea residential building called +ART had become clogged and tattered from it’s owners’ many bicycles. Behind the building a 4,500 square foot courtyard remained unfinished and unused since the apartments were completed four years ago. These panels will be lit from within showing the silhouettes of structure and bicycles. At the building face, perforated aluminum panels open to reveal a bar. The landscape is comprised of benches surrounding trees, geometric-shaped shrubs and a water feature, all grounded in shifting planes of gravel and pavers.
