Warsaw, PL
The 1920 "Battle of Warsaw" was decisive for Poland’s independence and "non-proliferation" of the communist revolution further into Western Europe. Therefore, it is the space, in its theoretical and architectural meaning, that has become the key parameter in defining the mass of the museum building as well as the adjacent historic remembrance places. The form of the museum (with the net area of more than 7 thousand sq m) „enters” the plane space of the war operations scene, concurrently harbouring modern urban complex solutions (4ha) customised to the needs of the Ossów community.
The museum’s longitudinal form directs the historical space where to hold historical re-enactments of the "Battle of Warsaw". In order to enable viewers to gently descend to the historical site of the struggles at Ossów, two ramps have been constructed that lead to the hollows outside the museum.
