Boston Public Market

Boston now has permanent year-round market in a premiere location overlooking the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway. The market provides fresh, healthy, local food to the public, as well as education about nutrition, cooking and food sources. Located on the ground floor of the Department of Transportation’s existing Parcel 7 building, the 28,000 sf space accommodates close to 40 vendors, merchandising walls, and a 3,200 sf demonstration kitchen. The flexible design creates a bright, accessible market hall experience featuring the beauty and bounty of local food.  Contemporary, clean and crisp, the stalls feature copper-colored pylons and light-washed canopies, creating a spacious vaulted hall for Massachusetts grower-sellers. The shopping aisles converge at the aptly named “hub,” creating a focal point for the entire market district. The kitchen space hosts cooking demonstrations, family activities and more, managed by The Trustees of Reservation.
