The layout of this project is one of the characteristics from large scale environment connecting to small scale open spaces. Many different scaled open spaces spread to the whole area which bring better permeability of the venues and link the whole system; such as the large scale of Wetland Park, waterways, activities square, middle scale of the landscape of streets and axis, green nodes, small scale of neighbourhood street, lanes and so on. They are increasing the interests of base space and overall value of the site. The site will provide various patterns for different activities, for the large festival events; for commercial active; to providing the rest and interaction sites for visitors.
The project is divided into four functional zones: the Arts zones; Film and television production area, Campus area and leisure area. The Arc shaped featured trail links four zones through the whole site. The arc trail reflects different themes and characteristics of space in four functional areas individually. The starting point of arc is the oval-shape Star Plaza in arts zones, which shows the atmosphere and the detailed fashion in the large festival activities. A warm atmosphere of the visual and audio media platform and business zones goes through the film and television production area. In the campus area, the space is scaled more humane. The design consists of film and television themes and the technology learning themes. In the leisure area, featured trail is integrated within wetland environment.
