Design for Reformation’s expansion to a second location in the heart of downtown Woodstock. The project started life as an abandoned furniture warehouse without any windows, doors or any other building feature relating it to its surroundings. The existing building was modified and reconfigured by adding overhead doors, windows, decks and a signature tower element that all blend the interior space with the vast outdoor areas the site provides. The interior design concept was to take the minimalist wood and concrete of the existing warehouse and turn it into an “Atomic Barn” style by leaving the raw materials exposed but infilling around them with retro-modern furnishings, fixtures and colors.
