Goldendale Observatory State Park

Patano Studio is worked with Washington State Park on the renovation and expansion of Goldendale State Park Observatory perched at 2100’ above Goldendale in southwestern Washington. The Observatory houses one of the largest accessible public telescopes in the nation. This year-round educational facility is dedicated to scientific telescope viewing and programming.

The expansion modernized the facility, incorporated interpretive exhibits, new landscape, and exploration spaces and feature a new elliptical structure with a rooftop observation deck and large hybrid interpretive/presentation space.
